Unlike the canonical analysis of\nmutational signatures, SATS factorizes the mutation count\nmatrix into a panel-context matrix (measuring the number of\nmutation opportunities per million base pairs for each tumor),\na signature profile matrix, and a signature activity matrix.\nSATS also calculates the expected number of mutations\nattributed to each signature, namely the signature burden, for\neach tumor profiled by targeted sequencing.
